You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness,
-2 Timothy 3:10
“my aim in life.” That phrase POPS off the page to me. Aim. What is my aim? Paul’s aim was clear, what Jesus called him to do on the Damascus road, that’s what he wanted to do, and that’s what he aimed is entire life towards.
There was no contradiction in his aim. I must admit that very intimidating and sobering. But it’s also inspiring. The same Holy Spirit that filled Paul to have his life aimed towards Christ, is the same that lives in me and my brothers and sisters in Christ.
I’m inspired to have my life aimed where the target is so obvious, that even the atheist understands the love and Savior and what my life is aimed towards. 🎯
